Finally getting to some photos from our day in Forest Park two weeks ago! It was so wonderful. I think we ended up going only 6 or 7 miles or so, but it felt so great to go for a hike (stroll, perhaps?) in our new home-city!! I'm hoping we can get out for a longer hike soon, if not at Forest Park, somewhere along the coast! Enjoy the photos!!
My handsome date!!
I was able to look out over a portion we had hiked.
A fat tree with rich dark bark.
Switchbacks.
My favorite tree. Beautiful dainty leaves of a most vibrant green! What is this tree called? I still haven't figured it out.
The beautiful tree leaves.
So green!!
One of the most charming retaining walls I've ever seen.
So VERY green!
The giant sequoias.

The bright green of the leaves was such a contrast to the dark, damp (I assume) bark. One picture puzzled me, but I got it figured out. The retaining wall pic reminds me of the one in GA where the automatic sprinkler system was working. :) M
